POP-UP BOOK - THE HERMIT CRAB IN LOVE - PLOT
The plot of the book is written in ink, in the form of nursery rhyme, on a strip of paper, painted and decorated by hand with watercolors. The fold is placed in the pocket located on the back of the book cover.
Here it is the story:
"Once upon a time, in the depths of the abyss, a mermaid named Ombretta, sweet and lovable, was traveling in the deep sea in search of a heart to love.
When, a fine day, because of the strong current, on the beach, she found herself, in a surprising way.
Alarmed and agitated, she was soon consoled by a friendly hermit crab named Arturo.
Soon, this meeting became a great love, but, because of the distance, it was full of pain.
Ombretta, not to miss her hermit crab so loved, turned to Magus of the Abyss for a much desired spell.
"Sim sa la bim!" and the magician turned Ombretta in a perfect hermit crab.
But, ahimè, only for one day, their hearts made sparks a thousand.
While leaving, the magician said, "to make this love eternal, Arturo, you'll face the monster of the Deep and win a treasure".
Then, Arturo, brave as a warrior, defeated the monster and the treasure conquered ... And, soon, the spell coveted came true!
His Ombretta beloved hermit crab forever remained ...
And they lived happily ever after "
